The Colours of the Earth Dyebook contains my own tried and tested dye recipes using dyers greenweed, saffron, madder, logwood, alkanet, cochineal and more but also with comprehensive instructions for good preparation of fibres and fabrics. The principal of dyeing is fully covered so it is more than a recipe book but rather a manual that will enable the novice dyer to carry on experimenting. Each cover is individually handpainted in natural dyes and so will differ from the picture shown and can be signed by me on request.
This new edition ( Edition 3 ) contains more recipes including my own dye mix recipes for reds and purples amongst other as well as more detail on scouring fleece than previously.
